Just hours after the launch of the AdiPower, football stars have brought out their shiny, new AdiPowers to pitches around the world. Soccer Reviews are the first to have a special boot spotting with all the AdiPower spottings from Saturday’s matches.
Luis Nani (Man United) – Adidas AdiPower
It’s been a pretty badly kept secret, but Nani’s switch from the AdiZero range to the new AdiPower is now official, with the winger wearing the Sharp Blue colourway in Man United’s title winning match against Blackburn. Nani’s move to the AdiPower range shows how hard Adidas are trying to ensure the AdiPower range is a succes.
Jermaine Jones (Blackburn) – Adidas AdiPower
Jermaine Jones was very quick in making his transition from his old Electricity Predator X boots to the new Sharp Blue AdiPower. He’s one of a few players wearing the AdiPower, with many still sticking to their old Predator X boots.
Charlie Adam (Blackpool) – Adidas AdiPower
As we showed you a few days ago on our ‘AdiPower Watch’ article, Charlie Adam upgraded his Predator X cleats with his own customised Sharp Blue AdiPowers. If you want to see close ups of his customised cleat, check the article here.
Patrick Vieira (Man City) – Adidas AdiPower
It seems a lot of players have decided to revert to the bold Sharp Blue AdiPower, with Vieira sticking to the subtle and traditional Black/White/Red colourway. A Predator release really wouldn’t feel the same without the ever present Predator Red colourway.
Dimitar Berbatov (Man United) – Adidas AdiPower
Berbatov celebrates with his Man United team mates in his new Black/White/Red colourway. His days at Man United are counted now, with many rumours linking him with a move to the Serie A.
Kenny Cooper (Portland Timbers) – Adidas AdiPower
Now over to America and the MLS, where Portland Timbers’ striker Kenny Cooper debuted his flashy new Sharp Blue AdiPowers.
Osvaldo Alonso (Seattle Sounders FC) – Adidas AdiPower
Another AdiPower spot from the same game, where Osvaldo Alonso was also spotted wearing the new Sharp Blue colourway.
Troy Perkins (Portland Timbers) – Adidas AdiPower
We’ve seen Edwin Van Der Sar in the AdiPowers but here’s another keeper, Troy Perkins whose chosen to wear the new boots.
Juninho (LA Galaxy) – Adidas AdiPower
Beckham’s team mate Juninho brought out his new Sharp Blue AdiPowers for his side’s clash with Kansas City. Beckham was spotted wearing his old Predator X boots, partly because a DB colourway has not been made for the new AdiPower range yet.
Omar Gonzalez (LA Galaxy) – AdiPower
Another Galaxy player Omar Gonzalez was spotted in the adiPowers, which as far as we can tell are a massive hit in the MLS.
Ruben Micael (Porto) – Adidas AdiPower

While his other teammates have been in the spotlight for their Mizuno boots, we’ve spotted Ruben Micael as the only player on his team with the adiPowers (as far as we can tell!).
Rich Balchan and Joey Gjertsen (Columbus Crew vs San Jose Earthquakes) – Adidas AdiPower
We’ll end our special AdiPower boot spotting article with, more AdiPower spottings! Rich Balchan and Joey Gjertsen battled it out for the ball in the Columbus vs San Jose MLS match.
That’s it for our Sunday special AdiPower boot spotting. Did you see any other AdiPower spottings from Saturday’s matches?
