It looks like 2012 is going to be a big year for football boots. With nearly every big football boot being reinvented in 2012, it’s going to be a year to look forward to for boot fans. Today, we’ve leaked images for the AdiPure 11 Pro and the AdiZero II. Two of the leaked images today will be making their debut on the site in our bumper Wiki(Boot)Leak today.
Let’s start with the old. Here’s the first few leaked imaged we’ve seen of the AdiPure 11 Pro. This view gives us a good idea of what the boot is going to look like. Adidas have ditched the ‘heritage’ look of the AdiPure range and tried to give it a modern vibe. After taking a look at the specs covered in a Wiki(Boot)Leaks article last month, it seems the AdiPure 11 Pro is going to be half way between a control and heritage boot. However, after we found out Adidas are looking at releasing a control boot, it’s a little weird that the AdiPure 11 Pro has control aspects about it.
The Black/White/Slime colourway above is expected to be the main colourway for the AdiPure 11 Pro range when it’s released. These pictures also mean it’s easy to see the new 360° Support Saddle, which is the big new piece of technology in the boots. The AdiPure 11 Pro is also expected to ditch the k-leather upper, which is a pretty big decision by Adidas. They are pretty popular in the lower leagues amongst players and ditching k-leather for Taurus leather could prove to be a controversial decision by the German company. The Running White/Black/High Energy boot below will also be released with the Black boot above in February.
Next up is a boot that’s making it’s debut on Soccer Reviews today. We revealed the Black/Predator Red/White release date on our exclusive boot calendar last week. However, this boot has two little letters in it’s name that makes it a very special boot. This is going to be the AdiPure 11 Pro SL! That means it’s has the same characteristics as the regular AdiPure 11 Pro, but with a Sprint Frame outsole and triangular TRAXION studs. It’s pretty much the AdiPure 11 Pro built on the AdiZero soleplate. Considering that the regular AdiPure 11 Pro weighs 235 grams, the SL version could be around 200 grams. Pity it’s not k-leather though. We expect these to be released in March.
Lastly, the AdiZero II is expected to be a big boot release for Adidas in December. We already know of the launch colourways, with the words ‘futuristic’ being applied to quite a few different boots. This Blue/Silver/Yellow colourway is no different. It’s such a sharp design, it doesn’t look like it belongs to a football pitch! We expect them to be released in March.
