In the space of one year, the German giants have fallen from the lofty heights of treble competitors to a team with a barren trophy cabinet competing for a final Champions League spot. However, with this latest kit release from Adidas, Bayern will be looking forward to the potential next season holds.
Using the same template as the Seattle Sounders of the MLS and Liverpool of the EPL, Adidas have left the traditional white and red color scheme for the home kit and have replaced it with a complete dark red coating, with gold detailing. Not only is the jersey red, but the socks and shorts round off the complete one color kit design.
T-Mobile are still the main sponsors for the Bavarian side’s kits, however only a T is shown on the shirt, as the Mobile has been replaced with large white dots.
The kits will be available in both the Climacool and TechFit editions, and for more information on the two materials, check out our guide to Adidas kits.
True to the club’s motto Mia san Mia (We are who we are), the kit strongly symbolizes unity and togetherness.
An interesting boot spot is what German international, Bastian Schweinsteiger (the above image is Philipp Lahm) provides us with in the top image. The boots he is wearing in the kit revealing do not appear to be the regular Adidas adiPure IV, which makes us wonder if he’ll be the first professional to sport the adiPure SL?
Bonus: FC Bayern is all in video
