Schweinsteiger In Mystery adidas Boot

Germany's Bastian Schweinsteiger has once again been snapped wearing a mystery pair of white-out adidas football boots, and upon close inspection it's apparent his new boots are not the new adiPure SL or a current incarnation of the range!

Last month our Boot Spy team snapped Schweinsteiger sporting a new pair of whited-out adidas football boots. Aware the launch of the adiPure SL was round the corner, we speculated he was play testing a prototype pair. But since their release we've yet to see Schweinsteiger play in the new adidas SL, and as our exclusive pictures show, the boots he is wearing are definitely not the adiPure SL.



For the last few seasons Schweinsteiger has been an adiPure wearer, so it's a natural assumption that his new boots are part of the range. However, close-up inspection reveals that the white boots Schweinsteiger is currently sporting for training are actually nothing like the current adiPure IV football boots.

The positioning of the stripes, the heel counter, boot collar, air vents, stitching patterns and the entire sole-plate are all completely different to the current adiPure IV and SL versions we've included below, so could it be that we are looking at the first prototypes of the adidas adiPure V football boots!





We've even dug out all the previous incarnations of the adiPure range to compare, and again you can see Schweinsteiger's boots are completely bespoke. It has to be said then, that these boots do lend themselves to a certain leather classiness that could well be the adiPure V. And also, due to how clean Bastian's boots were when we first spotted them back in February, we're more inclined to say Schweinsteiger is in a brand new boot rather than a random old pair.





These mystery adidas football boots certainly look like an interesting model, they feature a leather upper, a uniquely configured sole-plate and there doesn't appear to be any technology incorporated into the upper.
